An Alliance of Tradition and Terroir
Le Domaine des Hauts Perrays, located on the heights of Chaudefonds-sur-Layon (Maine-et-Loire) near the confluence of Layon and Loire rivers, is the fruit of a collaboration between two wine enthusiasts, Gabin and Stéphane, two oenologist friends originally from Burgundy.
Located in the heart of Anjou Noir, our vineyard of 16 hectares grows over different schist degradation terroirs and is composed of iconic grapes like Chenin, Cabernet Franc, Grolleau, Pineau d’Aunis and Gamay.
Each plot is worked with passion and precision to produce authentic wines and reveal the diversity and richness of our terroirs.
Gabin
Burgundian farmer’s son, Gabin has an early passion for vines and wines thanks to a couple of familiar vines grown and vinified with the family. Gabin graduated in oenology in 2015.
Hand-crafted work from the vineyard to the winery gives a specific signature to our wines. A balance between freshness, finesse, complexity and fruity.
In the cellar, our approach is guided by a love of work well done, giving our cuvées a unique signature: a subtle balance between freshness, finesse, complexity and fruitiness.
Stéphane
Stéphane, for his part, after 15 years' experience as a telecommunications engineer, decided at the end of 2012 to change careers. This great epicurean and oenophile spontaneously chose a job he was passionate about: oenology.
Our wines are available for delivery throughout France. As Vignerons Indépendants, we are proud to represent the quality of Loire wines, which have won awards at prestigious competitions such as the Concours des Ligers and regularly feature in recognised guides such as the Guide Hachette.
